Trading Manager
Location: Hybrid – at least days at VHQ, Crawley
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive

In a nutshell
Our commercial success depends on how effectively we trade across markets and we’re looking for a Trading Manager to help us raise the bar. In this role, you’ll take ownership of trading for a defined product area — shaping and executing strategies that maximise revenue and market share. You’ll collaborate across Commercial and Customer teams to prioritise actions, align levers, and ensure trading decisions are governed and delivered effectively. With sharp commercial instincts and analytical expertise, you’ll turn insight into impact in a dynamic, fast-changing environment. .
Day to day
- Analyse trading performance across routes and products, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and execute market-level trading activities that feed into our rolling 12-month calendar.
- Create trading playbooks and toolkits that capture best practice and enable continuous improvement.
- Produce trading reports and insight packs for forums and leadership updates, highlighting key actions and outcomes.
- Review and prioritise tactical trading activities across Commercial and Customer teams, ensuring trading priorities are clearly communicated, aligned, and delivered to drive network performance. Own the commercial strategy and performance of a specific cabin and set of ancillary products, coordinating levers, driving revenue, and managing supplier relationships where applicable.
About you
Are you a commercially astute strategist who combines sharp analytical thinking with confident decision-making, turning complex data into clear actions that drive revenue growth?
In addition to the above, we’d love for you to demonstrate the following:
- Commercially savvy, with experience in trading, pricing, or revenue management, ideally within travel or retail.
- Analytical and decisive, with the confidence to act quickly on data and performance insight.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to influence across teams and senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable taking responsibility for your area of work, with a proactive approach to delivering results.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and can turn complex information into clear actions.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) in economics, aviation, or business.
- A team player who brings initiative, energy, and curiosity to everything you do.
