Trading and Revenue Optimisation Senior Manager
Location: Hybrid - at least 3 days at VHQ, Crawley
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive

Join us at the forefront of commercial strategy as a Trading and Revenue Optimisation Senior Manager, where your leadership will shape trading plans that drive revenue across our network. You’ll lead a talented team to build and refine trading playbooks, aligning activity across multiple teams and channels, and deliver results that soar.
With a sharp eye for opportunity and a knack for clear communication, you’ll keep the business in the loop - spotting risks, sharing wins, and guiding decisions. If you thrive on collaboration, challenge, and making a measurable impact, this is your chance to help Virgin Atlantic fly even higher.
- Plan and optimise trading activity using a suite of toolkits to evaluate performance across routes, products, and channels, ensuring actions are timed and sequenced for maximum impact.
- Set and lead trading priorities across platforms and teams, engaging stakeholders and challenging constructively to drive network revenue.
- Communicate trading performance and risks effectively across forums, including updates to the Commercial Leadership team.
- Manage and evolve the trading hub, capturing insights and building playbooks to drive consistency and support decision-making across trading and commercial teams.
- Lead and develop a team of Trading Managers, setting clear KPIs, fostering collaboration, and supporting a high-performance culture.
- Support the Head of Revenue Delivery in defining long-term direction, embedding a high-performance culture, and nurturing future leaders.
Whether you’ve built your expertise through formal education or hands-on experience, we’re looking for someone who can think strategically, make smart decisions, and turn data into action. In addition to the above, we’d love for you to demonstrate the following:
- Experience leading teams and working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Sharp thinking and confident decision-making, with the ability to turn performance data into smart, actionable strategies.
- Strong commercial awareness and a natural instinct for linking ideas to business outcomes.
- A proactive mindset, someone who takes ownership and leads with accountability.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, bringing energy and adaptability to every challenge.
- A degree in economics, aviation, business, or equivalent experience in a related field where you’ve led with impact.
It would be great if you also have a background working within the Retail or Travel industry.
