When you join our engineering team, you’ll have the chance to work on one of the youngest and most impressive fleets in the industry. It includes the mighty Boeing 747-400, the innovative 787-9, the A330 and we’ve some A350s on the way. In fact, when our A350s start arriving in 2019, we’ll have the youngest fleet in the sky. How great is that?
Engineering Services
Our Engineering Services have a huge impact on customers. We make sure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe flight by sourcing the best parts, providing 24 hour support to our production teams and being involved in longer term operational planning. Our specialist areas include Reliability, Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Planning and Fleet Technical to name a few.
Production & Maintenance
We’re always looking for exceptional engineers within Part 145 (including Hangar and Line Maintenance). So if you want to work with the best engineering production team in the business, we’d love to hear from you.
Based in London Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our flight network with the highest quality aircraft maintenance. We work in state of the art facilities whether that’s on the line or in our hangars, on the airframe or in the cabin. As well as day to day mandatory maintenance, you could end up fixing something on the Upper Class bar or changing engine. It’s diverse work.
Engineering Graduate Programme
Our Graduate programme is one of the best in the business. You’ll get involved in multiple teams across our Engineering Services and Production. You’ll build up real world experience in new disciplines and learn the skills you’ll need to kick-start your career.
Our programme is designed to give you a comprehensive view of the technical world of Virgin Atlantic. In fact, it’s fair to say that by the end of your training, you’ll know our fabulous fleet inside out. That’s because you’ll spend two years rotating around our entire engineering function, learning all about the maintenance and the optimisation of reliability and cost of our Airbus and Boeing aircraft, their engines, systems, cabin interiors and structures. We also want you to sharpen your commercial and project management skills.
