Senior Operations Insight & Performance Analyst
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday
Location: Hybrid remote working, with 3 days a week in our VHQ, Crawley, West Sussex
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract

At Virgin Atlantic, operational excellence is at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Senior Analyst – Operations Performance & Insight to help power smarter decisions across our Network Operations, Airports and Clubhouses teams.
This is a high-impact analytical role where your insight will directly influence operational performance, customer experience and strategic decision-making.
You’ll transform complex operational and customer data into actionable insight that drives measurable improvement across our network.
From real-time performance analysis to predictive modelling, you’ll identify the “why” behind the numbers and forecast future risks and opportunities using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we set targets, measure performance and automate decision-support tools across the operation.
• Deliver real-time, insight-led analysis to support operational decision-making
• Develop forecasting models to predict performance, risks and opportunities
• Build and maintain automated reporting solutions that create a single source of truth
• Design innovative tools that integrate data from multiple systems
• Develop data-driven target setting methodologies across Customer & Operations
• Analyse crew productivity, standby utilisation and operational risk
• Provide insight into schedule optimisation impacts on operational teams and customer experience (NPS, complaints, VOC)
• Support airport managers and OCC teams with enhanced decision-support tools
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve operational processes
• Present compelling, data-led business cases to senior stakeholders
• Mentor colleagues and improve data capability across teams
You’re a curious and commercially minded analyst who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You combine technical expertise with strong influencing skills and the confidence to challenge and improve ways of working.
Essential
• Degree educated or equivalent analytical experience
• Advanced Power BI capability
• Strong data modelling and analytical skills
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Ability to interpret trends and translate data into clear business insight
Highly Desirable
• Experience with DAX and M languages
• SQL and Python proficiency
• Power Apps development knowledge
• Experience with predictive modelling or machine learning
