Aviation Risk Manager – ICN
Hours: 40 hrs per week (Work schedules include evenings, weekends and holidays)
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Contract: Permanent

We’re building something long term in Korea. As our Aviation Risk Manager – ICN, you’ll be the accountable lead for aviation security and operational risk at Incheon, ensuring our operation is safe, secure, compliant and future-ready, while also acting as an extension of the UK Head Office team by providing ongoing remote engagement and support. This isn’t just about oversight - it’s about ownership. You’ll represent Virgin Atlantic’s Corporate Security function locally, working closely with airport partners, authorities and our UK Head Office teams to protect the integrity of our operation while helping us grow our presence across Asia. As our regional network develops, this role will evolve, offering wider exposure and the opportunity to build capability beyond Korea.
Lead aviation security and operational risk oversight at ICN. Act as the primary liaison with local authorities and regulatory bodies. Own compliance with national aviation security requirements and Virgin Atlantic corporate standards. Oversee aircraft security processes and third-party providers. Conduct risk assessments, assurance checks and incident reviews. Support audit activity and represent the station during regulatory inspections. Work closely with airport operations and Head Office to continuously strengthen security capability. Not limited to operational duties; also responsible for supporting UK Head Office functions, including the development of procedures, investigation of reports, and general administrative support. Help shape and develop our long-term security framework as the route matures.
You might already bring aviation security experience, or you might bring strong operational judgement from a regulated airport, airline or compliance environment. What matters most is your mindset, capability and potential. We’re looking for someone who: Has experience operating in a aviation or airport environment. Understands compliance, risk management and operational accountability. Is confident engaging with authorities and senior stakeholders. Can make sound decisions under pressure. Is analytical, organised and comfortable with documentation and audit processes. Speaks fluent English and Korean (essential for authority engagement). Wants to grow into a broader aviation risk leadership role over time. We want to invest in you You’ll undertake formal IATA security training and structured onboarding with our UK Corporate Security team, building capability that positions you for long-term development within Virgin Atlantic. Opportunity to travel to UK and learn the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding of our operations will be hands on at our main hub.
