Salary: £25,845.75 (Full Time Salary), £12,751.00 (Part Time Salary) plus shift pay and excellent benefits
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern), Part Time (18.5 hours on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern)
Shifts: Full or Part Time shifts available, working on a 7 day rotational pattern, Mon - Sun from 05:00 - 23:00

At Virgin Atlantic, we're on the lookout for highly skilled Mixologist bartenders to join our Clubhouse team at London Heathrow airport. Can you dazzle our guests with our signature Virgin Redhead cocktail - a tantalising blend of bubbly, berry liqueurs, Bombay Sapphire Gin and fresh raspberries?

As a Mixologist, you’re the personality behind the pumps, the expert of the drink’s menu. Injecting an energetic sense of fun into every moment as you mix and muddle premium drinks, providing an outstanding experience to all our guests!

Some of your key responsibilities as our Mixologist bartender will be:

• Ensuring that all drinks are prepared and served according to the Clubhouse standards, timely and accurately
• Experimenting with flavours, ingredients, and presentations to create unique, memorable cocktails to innovate classic drinks or reinvent new ones based on seasonal ingredients or trends
• Mastering specific techniques such as shaking, stirring, muddling, garnishing, and serving to achieve the perfect balance of flavour and texture. For instance, knowing the right way to muddle mint for a Mojito or the detailed timing for shaking a cocktail to avoid dilution
• Being adept at personalising cocktails for guests, taking into account their preferences for sweetness, sourness, or strength and tweaking ingredients or methods to cater to individual tastes
• Engaging with guests, explaining the drink-making process, the origin of ingredients, or the inspiration behind a new cocktail to turn an ordinary drink order into an educational experience
• Maintaining a spotlessly clean and fully stocked bar at all times

Are you passionate about bartending with an outstanding customer service? We’re looking for our successful Mixologist to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working in a cocktail-led bar operation is preferred
• Have an in-depth knowledge of various spirits (e.g. whiskey, gin, rum), liqueurs, bitters, syrups, and fresh ingredients (like herbs, fruits, and spices)
• Understand how to combine key ingredients to create balanced and flavourful drinks
• Be confident in working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills to handle customer and colleague requests
• Flexibility to work different shifts between 05:00am and 23:00pm, including weekends and bank holidays
• The ability to acquire an airside pass ID that permits you to enter and work in restricted areas of London Heathrow airport
