What can we help you find?
Before you apply
Absolutely, creating an application that stands out is key to catching the eye of any potential employer. Here’s how you can do it:
Research: This is your first step. Get to know us, understand our culture and values. Make sure that we’re not just a company you want to work for, but a place where you feel you belong.
Understand the Job Description: Every job description we post is a window into what the role entails and the key requirements. Read it carefully, and make sure you understand what we’re looking for.
Tailor Your CV: Cookie-cutter CVs are easy to spot. Tailor yours to the role you’re applying for. Highlight experiences and skills that are relevant to the job description. There’s plenty of information available online on crafting a strong CV, but here are a few quick tips:
Be concise and factual: Keep your CV punchy and to the point. Two pages is usually more than enough.
Draw links: If you’re applying for a role in a different area than your previous jobs, draw links between the two. Show us how your past experience has prepared you for this new role.
Account for gaps: If there are any gaps in your career history, make sure to account for them. And remember, keep your CV updated.
Sure thing, if the role is still open or re-advertised and it’s been at least six months since you attended an interview we’d welcome you to apply. While you’re here why not check out some of our other live vacancies too.
We believe everyone should be able to take on the world. So if need an adjustment to your recruitment journey please get in touch with our recruitment team by emailing Recruitment@fly.virgin.com. Our friendly team is always happy to help and will do all they can to support and accommodate you.
Of course. While we can’t give out their contact details that doesn’t stop you from dropping them a LinkedIn message and connecting with them on there.
First, double-check the email address and password you’re using. It’s the same email you used when applying. If you’ve forgotten your password, no problem – just click on the “Forgot Your Password” link on the login page.
After re-entering your email, click “OK”, and voila! You’ll receive an email with a new access code and a link to reset your password.
Remember, after 5 unsuccessful login attempts, your account will lock for security reasons. If this happens, or if you think your account is already locked, simply drop us an email at Recruitment@fly.virgin.com. Our friendly team will get you back on track in no time.
While industry experience can be beneficial, it’s not a requirement for all positions. We value transferable skills and potential, so don’t hesitate to apply even if you’re new to the industry.
After you apply?
No worries at all, we all forget things from time to time. Your username for your Careers Portal is simply the email address you used when you first set up your account and applied for a role with us.
Every application is acknowledged. You should receive an automated acknowledgement email within five minutes of submitting your application. We aim to send every applicant an email with the outcome of the application as soon as we have an update. Alternatively, if you’ve set up a careers portal, you can log into this whenever you wish to check on the progress of your application.
We know one likes being left in the dark. That’s why we’re committed to updating you every step of the way, even if the outcome isn’t what you were hoping for. We will try our best to get back to everyone within a few weeks. However, with some of our more popular roles, it may take us a little longer- sit tight, and we’ll be back in touch soon.
We know the wait can be agonising, especially when it involves your dream job. If you’ve set up a careers portal, you can log into this whenever you wish to check on the progress of your application. Although we cannot give specific updates on your application’s status, our teams are working hard behind the scenes to review each application we receive, and we’ll be in touch, either way, to let you know your outcome.
Absolutely, we understand that circumstances can change. If you wish to withdraw your application, please send an email to Recruitment@fly.virgin.com. In the email, kindly include the role you’ve applied for and a brief note stating your intention to withdraw your application. We’ll take care of the rest for you.
Unfortunately, due to the high numbers of applications we receive, we’re unable to give feedback to those applicants who do not reach interview stage.
